HAWAII (spring break 2013)

ALOHA!!!

Over spring break my parents decided we should all go to Hawaii together as a family. So we did.
Day 1: Kinda crazy. We took the Salt Lake shuttle to the Salt Lake Airport and there went through security. Awesome. Than boarded our 6 HOUR flight to Hawaii. P.S. I HATE flying. Raymie did really well on the flight though. She hardly even fussed. Once we got to Oahu, Hawaii we did a little sight seeing. Went to the beach (2 blocks away from our hotel) and just walked the main street where there we a ton of $Pricey$ stores. Chelsey, Justin, Jared, Raymie and I all shared a room and My mom, dad, and three brothers shared another two doors down from us. Good thing. Can you imagine all of us in one hotel room...!?

Day 2: We hiked Diamond Head. It was a fun Hike...until I got to the stairs. Haha. They seemed never ending. It was a B-E-A-UTIFUL view from the top. After that we went to the beach and kinda just hung out. Raymie did really well in the water and sand. Jared and the other boys cut up their toes and legs on the coral while trying to boogie board.

Day 3: We went and saw the Hawaii Temple. Again...weather was not so good. But it wasn't cold. So that was good. After the Temple we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. That was fun. They had all these different stations where you could learn to throw spears, dance, and get painted on tattoos. We spent the whole day there and in the evening they had a show where some of them spun fire. It was pretty awesome.

Day 4: We went to the beach and went snorkeling. Another thing I don't like is snorkeling. It freaks me out. But it was still lots of fun! That night we all kinda just did our own thing. Jared and I went shopping a little bit. We saw Justin and Chelsey getting some tattoos that stay on for two weeks. So I got a little turtle on my foot. It was all a ton of fun!

Day 5: We went to the DOLE plantation and saw some pineapples. I still think It's weird how they grow. Than we went to Pear Harbor. We didn't get to actually go on the ships because they closed sooner than we expected, but we still went to the little museums they had there and those were pretty cool. After that we headed to the Airport for our Redeye flight home. Raymie did really well on the ride home too...me not so much. Lets just say I really really hate turbulence.
A little thing I noticed about Hawaii, besides the beauty of it, is that there was no trash laying around anywhere. They keep it so clean there, which is really cool. Another unexpected thing I noticed...lots of hobos...and I don't mean the spiders. haha. And a gallon of milk costs $6...ridiculous.
Overall it was a great trip! It was lots of fun and we had enough family time to last me a couple of years. Hahaha just kidding!!!
